United Way Grateful For Its Community Support
To The Reader’s Forum:
On behalf of the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County, we want to say THANK YOU to our wonderful community. We have successfully completed our annual campaign, exceeding our goal of $1,300,000 by $38,652. These funds will be used exclusively in our area, funding 42 programs at 25 different agencies. We are indebted to every donor, every volunteer, every business, every corporation and every foundation, who together made this effort possible.
We live in a generous community, with so many people and businesses willing to step up and help in different ways. While there are many challenges facing the area, this successful campaign reminds us of all those who care and are willing to work for the greater good.
The Post-Journal has been very generous in its expansive coverage of our efforts, and WJTN has been there at every milestone.
It has been our pleasure to help lead the United Way campaign this year! It was our hope to inspire the community to do more, and, as it turned out, Southern Chautauqua County has inspired us.
