To The Reader’s Forum:

Please let the people of Jamestown know there is an angel among them. He doesn’t look like an angel. He is big and strong, handsome, and very kind. His name is Ed Holtz.

He picked us up in 90 degree weather on Route 86 with his tow truck and took us to the Ford dealer in Jamestown on Tuesday, July 12. The dealership was closed and so was Enterprise.

He left us at a restaurant and finished his day working at Edinbros towing. After working 12 hours he picked us up and drove us to our condo in Rocky River, Ohio, and then back home. It was a five hour trip.

We were stranded in Jamestown and he rescued us seniors and we were able to sleep in our own beds.

He was charming, delightful and funny and a joy to be with on the way home.

Thank you Jamestown for letting us borrow your angel. He came into our lives for one day we will never forget.
