Andrew Jackson: Don’t Forget The Good
To The Readers’ Forum:
Andrew Jackson is among one of my favorite Presidents. I have read everything I could get my hands on of Jackson. During the Revolution, he was slashed by a British officer for refusing to clean the mud that was on his boots. He was nine years old at the time and was a POW at 14. He fought and beat the British at New Orleans.
I believe Treasury Secretary Jack Lew should study his history. People don’t want to remember all the good that Jackson did, but only the bad. Who is to judge? We continue into political correctness.
