Spring Street Apartments Need More Handicap Designs
To The Readers’ Forum:
In response to the Spring Street apartments being proposed, it is supposed to be 45 units with 15 percent of them being designed for handicapped.
OK, that works out to be 6.75 units. How do you make an apartment .75 accessible? It would be tolerable to make ALL units handicapped accessible … one never knows when an accident or some illness takes some part of our lives. And I tend to think we need to re-invest in many of the homes already abandoned and making them lived in and loved again. not building more apartments.
