Apartment Project Could Stifle Home Ownership
To the Readers’ Forum:
I’d like to say I am not thrilled if this new $11 million apartment goes up.
If it’s like the apartments on Second Street, the properties will be smaller and the space called home even smaller. No space for those who have children to play, no space for a garden for those who choose to.
I talked to a person awhile back who happened to be a higher up in his company and he said his company wouldn’t build here because of the tenant to homeowner is not good. If the city goes and builds these, you’re not encouraging home ownership enough.
