George Spitale Gets Things Done
To The Readers’ Forum:
I have lived on Hazzard Street for 20 years. The last year-and-a-half have been beyond miserable due to neglected dogs, loud music and blatant disrespect toward senior citizens, just a few things to mention.
Numerous police calls have helped some. Understandably, these concerns aren’t a priority compared to assaults, drug activity and burglaries taking place.
I then attempted to reach councilwoman Marie Jones. After four or five calls and none returned, I stopped trying. Problems continued and I decided to try councilman George Spitale. My call was returned within an hour. Mr. Spitale bent over backwards helping us to solve some of our problems. This September Maria Jones did a walk through our neighborhood. I told her I would like to speak with her about some concerns we were having again. She assured me she would speak with us. After four or five phone calls I made, along with going to her home and speaking with her husband, I have yet to hear from her.
I’m left wondering why someone would take on the position of council person if they were too busy, didn’t want to return calls and could care less? I can only hope 2016 is a better year. Thank you again, George Spitale.
