To The Readers’ Forum:

It is always good to look ahead and have a plan of action, hence the reason for this note. Within the next three months the Salvation Army will be into their main fundraiser, the Red Kettle Campaign.

We have had the privilege of coordinating the town of Carroll/Frewsburg campaign at the local Tops Markets for the past 11 seasons. How exciting it is to see our community grab ahold of this as their own project and fill the hours faithfully. Depending upon the year, there are between 280 and 330 hours that have been covered.

Through our efforts and the help of Frewsburg Central School and other local organizations, we have a very active volunteer list. As we retire from this position this year we are looking for a person or an organization to take over. We can be reached at 569-3674.

It has been our honor and privilege to witness the generosity of our community with their resources as well as their time.
