Obama Fails To Mislead Americans
President Barack Obama has claimed war-mongers in the Republican Party want to derail his plan for an agreement with Iran over that nation’s development of nuclear weapons.
It just isn’t true.
On Thursday, the Senate voted on a bill insisting that Congress must have at least some say in the agreement. Many lawmakers worry Obama’s plan would give Iran a nearly free hand to continue working toward a nuclear arsenal.
The vote tally for the bill was 98 senators in favor, with just one – Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., who feels the measure is too weak – opposed.
Not a single Democrat voted against the bill. So much for another attempt by the president to mislead the American people.
