A Shining Example For All Of Us
To The Readers’ Forum:
On Saturday, Jan. 17, just a few minutes before 10 a.m., my husband and I were pulling out of our driveway on Newland Avenue when we became stuck because of thick, wet, heavy snow at the end of the driveway.
This in itself would not have been quite so frustrating but for the fact we had to be somewhere at 10 a.m. While furiously shoveling, a gentleman driving by saw our dilemma, stopped and helped shovel us out. In this day and age of hurry and hustle bustle it is often too easy to ignore situations in which we could otherwise be of great assistance.
This gentleman was a complete stranger, and yet he took the time to help us. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to him for doing so. The end result was we did make it to a very important appointment on time. May this gentleman serve as a shining example for all of us. Thank you again and ever so much.
