Nija Slater Hawkins, age 22, of Jamestown, passed away 10/12/26 unexpectedly. She was born 07/19/2004 to Ed Slater and Christine Hawkins in Jamestown, NY.
Nija graduated in 2022 from Southwestern Central School in Jamestown, NY.
Nija is survived by her uncle, Trey Hawkins (Michelle), her aunt, Sheri Hawkins and cousins Alicia Hawkins, Dalton Hawkins and Dominic Salvaggio.
She was predeceased by her sister, Franchesca Hawkins, Mother, Christine Hawkins and her maternal grandparents, Lonzo & Linda Hawkins.
She was employed as a nanny as she loved children. She also had a love for all animals, especially her cats, Ginger and Teddy. Nija was a talented artist and was planning on pursuing a career using her artistic skills.
Nija was a very caring and loving person, always had a hug for every family member at all the family gatherings.
