1954-2026

Michael H. Green

Michael H. Green, affectionately known as Mike, 71, of Jamestown, New York, passed away at his home on Monday, October 12. 2026. A lifelong area resident, he was born in Jamestown on December 7, 1954, to the late Harold and Frances Green.

Mike attended Jamestown High School and was a United States Army veteran.

A true Jack of all trades, Mike spent much of his life self-employed in construction. From roofing and siding to building decks, repairing furnaces, plumbing, and everything in between, he had a gift for working with his hands and finding a way to get things done. But his greatest gift was his willingness to use those skills to help others. There was hardly a favor you couldn't ask of him. If he could lend a hand, he would, and the care he put into helping people will be remembered long after the work Itself.

Mike enjoyed small talk and taking the time to connect with people. Whether he was catching up with someone ne knew or striking up a conversation with someone he had just met, he had a way of making people feel welcomed and included. Those simple, everyday conversations will become some of the memories his loved one's treasure most.

He enjoyed trips to the casinos and OTB, traveling to Wheeling, West Virgina, to watch the dog races, and visiting Florida.

Life brought Mike his share of struggles, but he continued to meet the world with a positive attitude and a generous heart. He moved at his own pace, found enjoyment in simple things, and offered kindness even when he was facing difficulties of his own. He will be remembered for his helping hands, his easy conversations, and his willingness to give what he could to someone who needed it.

Michael is survived by his siblings: Lori Magee of Buffalo, New York; Brian (Margie) Green Sr. of Ohio; Wendy (Don) Beckwith of Florida: and Matt Green of Jamestown, New York.

He is also survived by his children: Diane (Kyle) Warner of Buffalo, New York: Christopher (Shannon) Zickgraf; Anthony Raymond; Jennifer Green: and Jacqueline Green, all of Jamestown, New York, and Joesph Green of North East, Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
