Marcus Tanner Lindstrom, age 31, of North East, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026. He was born in Jamestown, NY on October 13, 1994, son of Brian and Patricia Lindstrom.
Marcus was a graduate of Sherman Central High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Penn State Behrend. He had worked for Anderson Precision in Jamestown, NY and then Electric Materials in North East. Marcus was a true patriot and loved red, white and blue. Even though he wasn't a veteran, he was so proud of both his grandfathers who served in D-Day, that he started partnering with The Wounded Warriors, walking 24 hours with 100 lbs, raising $15,00.00. Marcus was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a Captain America enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building Legos, bonfires, camping, and hiking.
Marcus was known to be a man full of humor, a charismatic personality, always wanting to make people around him happy, and gave the best bear hugs. He had a true, kind, and pure soul. He was known as everyone's little brother. Marcus also had so much love for his pets he rescued, Mr. Miyagi, Obi Wan Cannoli, and Penelope. His family and friends have memories they will cherish forever.
In addition to his parents, Marcus is survived by his wife, Melissa Lindstrom; one brother, Matthew Lindstrom (Mary Martin); two sisters: Shannon Mardino (Michael) and Nicole Auge (Bryant); as well as Melissa's family: parents, Michael and Alison Tarquinio, brother, Vincent Tarquinio, and grandmother, Evelyn Shepler. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews, Carly and Emily Mardino, Mila and Banner Auge, Debra Martin and Desiree Hider; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Marcus was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Joan Radack and Clifford and Peggy Lindstrom; and his pet buddies, Simba and Lady Lou.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mellon Heritage Veteran's Outreach Campus, 16 W Division St, North East on Sunday, October 11th from 12 to 5 PM.
