Kerry L. Paulson

1956-2026

Kerry L. Paulson passed away peacefully with his family at his side at UPMC Chautauqua, Sunday October 11th ,2026 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Kerry was born in Phillipsburg Pennsylvania on August 22nd, 1956, to late the Carl "Fritz" and Doris Paulson. He was a 1975 graduate of Jamestown High School. A lifelong area resident, he began his early career working at BOCES in Ashville NY, but his true passion was working with his hands. He was a jack of all trades, whether he was replacing roofs, framing a new house, replacing windows, drywall finishing, pouring concrete, block laying, or building chimneys, he knew it all. He was always the first to offer his advice and help his family and friends get the job done right. In his later career, Kerry was very proud of the years he worked at the Manor in Olean NY, always offering advice and guidance to those in need.

Kerry will be remembered for his unwavering love and support for his family. He was the most kindhearted person you could ever meet and always had a smile on his face, and a story to tell. He enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables. He was a lover of nature and all animals, autumn being his favorite time of the year. He enjoyed the companionship of his dog "Ruthy" who always traveled with him. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Buffalo Bills fan.

Kerry will be truly missed by his brother, Rick (Sharon) Paulson, sister, Lori (Steve) McIntire as well as many nieces, nephews, and so many dear friends.

Per Kerry's request, there will be no service, a celebration of life to be announced by the family at a later date. The family has entrusted Riccardi's Hubert Funeral Home, 111 South Main St. Jamestown, NY with the arrangements.

In keeping with Kerry's wishes, donations can be made in his name to Small Town Shelter, 118 Franklin St. Sherman, NY 716-224-2244 Send a condolence by visiting www.hubertfuneralhome.com.
