Charles E. "Chuck" Lind, 92, of Frewsburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 in UPMC Chautauqua.
He was born October 1, 1933 in Jamestown, a son of the late Richard J. Lind, Sr. and Mae Edson Lind.
Chuck was a 1953 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School.
He was a veteran of the US Army, a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir, and is currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Chuck was employed for many years at Carborundum, retiring in 1996, and at Falconer Davidson's Restaurant, cooking fish for their famous Friday's fish fry.
He loved spending time with his family and his favorite hobbies were gardening and making wine.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 64 years, Judy M. (Hanson) Lind; a son, Robert A. Lind; a daughter, Carrie A. (Tracy) Magnuson; four grandchildren: Nicholas M. (Jennifer) Lind, Sara C. (Shane) Haley, Emily M. Magnuson, Kirsten E. Magnuson; two great-grandsons on the way; and two sisters-in-law, Onnolee and Carolyn Lind.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers: Richard J. (Azaliene "Skip") Lind, Gordon E. Lind, and Wayne N. Lind.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg. Pastor Phillip Roushey will officiate.
Friends and family will be received from 5-7 pm on Friday in Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
