Charles A. "Chuck" LaMonica Jr., 75, of Jamestown passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026 in his home under the care of his sister, Carol LaMonica and Hospice.
A lifelong area resident Chuck was born April 19, 1951 in Jamestown, the son of the late Charles A. "Scorch" LaMonica Sr. and Antonina "Ann" Milone LaMonica.
Chuck was a 1969 graduate of Falconer High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. In earlier years he was employed by MRC and owned and operated Scorches Dash Inn in Jamestown. Prior to retirement Chuck owned and operated Falconer Foods Round Two for 35 years.
Chuck enjoyed the outdoors and at the age of 9 started working on the Anderson Turkey Farm helping with the day-to-day operations. He had a love for animals and enjoyed raising pheasants. Chuck had a love for classic cars and owned several throughout his life. He enjoyed social gatherings with family and friends, and enjoyed playing his tambourine, singing and dancing.
He was a member of the Marco Polo Club, and life member of the Falconer Rod & Gun Club.
Surviving are two sisters: Dianna Soldano of Philadelphia, PA, Carol Ann LaMonica of Jamestown; his brother Lucien LaMonica of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. "Scorch" LaMonica on May 6, 1977 and his mother, Antonina "Ann" Milone LaMonica on August 11, 1999; and his brother-in-law, Albert Soldano.
The family would like to thank Tyler Anderson and Sean Kilmartin who were caregivers to Chuck for the past several years.
Friends will be received by the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday (October 13, 2026), and one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday in the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2026 in the Falconer Funeral Home. Sam Ognibene, lifelong friend will officiate. A private family burial will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
