Yvonne Mable (Goulding) Brake (90) left this earthly abode to be with her beloved husband Ronald on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Yvonne was born October 19, 1935, the daughter of Arthur & Shirley (Mead) Goulding, and she grew up on their farm in Ellington, New York.
Yvonne married her lifelong sweetheart in 1952 and shared the next 67 years together, making a warm and welcoming home for family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a woman who spent her life caring for the people she loved. Her caring nature extended beyond her own family, as she lovingly cared for many neighborhood children throughout the Tompkins Road and surrounding area over the years. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, and walking through her door always felt like coming home. She took great pride in her cooking, and those fortunate enough to enjoy her meals often remarked that her food was worthy of a restaurant. She found joy in preparing meals for the people she loved and took great care in everything she made. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, and safety--a place where family and friends could always feel at ease. She devoted her life to taking care of those around her and creating a loving home for the people she cherished. Her love, kindness, and the feeling of being welcomed home will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald Lee Brake, Sr., her siblings Gail Goulding, Charles Goulding, and Connie Spencer and her son-in-law Robert Enserro. Yvonne is survived by her three children – Kathleen Enserro of Jamestown, Ronald Lee Brake, Jr. (Wendy) of Falconer, and Ronda Brake Kennedy (Darin) of Jamestown- two grandchildren – Wyatt Aaron Brake (Laura) of Chicago and Kaylei Nickerson (Mark) of Buffalo, and three great-grandchildren – Aaron James Brake, Clara Jayne Brake, and Rory Michael Nickerson.
