Suzanne R. DeSantis Boland, 76, of 2064 Ashmar Lane, died Monday September 7, 2026, in UPMC Chautauqua.
A lifelong area resident, she was born December 27, 1949, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Patsy and Clarice Nelson DeSantis.
She was a 1968 graduate of Jamestown High School and went on to receive a degree in education from Fredonia State College.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Jamestown Public School District as an English and reading teacher at Persell Middle School.
A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of St John Catholic Church and more recently Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved her time as a member of the Holy Apostles Handbell Choir and was an ardent volunteer at the Italian Festival and St. Joseph's Table.
Her memberships include Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was a volunteer serving meals at St. Susan Center.
Surviving is her husband, James Boland, whom she married October 6, 1989; a sister, Patricia (Steven) Babbage of Kannapolis, NC and two nephews, Christopher Babbage of Jamestown and Andrew Babbage of England.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
