Sandra L "Sandy" Johnson, 84, of Falconer passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 9, 2026 in the Star Hospice House, Lakewood.
A lifelong area resident she was born on November 13, 1941 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late John S. Beebe and Beatrice E. Swanson Beebe.
Prior to retirement, Sandy was employed by Geer Dunn for 12 years and Truck-Lite for 24 years where she retired from.
Sandy found happiness in the simple things in life. She loved taking vacations to the ocean, especially the feeling of putting her toes in the sand and being surrounded by palm trees. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, watching her favorite soap operas and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers during football season. She also loved going to car shows and most of all, cheering on her son while he raced at the local dirt tracks.
Though she may no longer be with us, her memory will live on in every sunset by the ocean, every palm tree, every lap around the race track, and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of loving her.
Surviving are her two grandchildren: Matthew Hammond of Frewsburg, Kasey (Thomas) Cupp of Ripley and three great grandchildren: Paul Hammond, Gage Hammond-Jacokes, Wesson Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her son, Troy Carr in 2022; her companion for 35 years, Moe Singer; a brother, John Beebe and a sister, Diane (Jerry) Maloney.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Levant Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
