Everyone who knew Robert knew him as a dedicated, loyal sports fan. He cheered his teams on fiercely throughout the good years and the bad. But to his family he was much more than that. He was a loving father who enjoyed spending his time coaching little league, having dance parties, playing board games, and enjoying the sunshine in his back yard.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Tricia DeStevens, his parents Eugene and Barbara DeStevens, and his sister Virginia DeStevens.
Robert is survived by his children Matthew DeStevens (Christy DeStevens), Alyssa DeStevens (Joshua Ritzer), his grandson Micah DeStevens, his sister Gina Baker (Steve Baker), his brother David DeStevens, his cherished in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial for Robert will be held Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm located at 8625 East Main Street, Clymer, NY 14724.
