Raymond Taylor Sr.

Raymond Taylor Sr., 74, affectionately known to everyone as "PLUG" of Jamestown passed away Tuesday (September 15, 2026) in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born April 22, 1952 in Kyle, WV and was a 1970 graduate of Alcorn High School. He moved to Jamestown in the 1970's where he worked in the metal fabricating industry for over 40 years.

Plug enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, fishing and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He would often take his Ford Mustang for a ride down to the Chadakoin river to fish. While fishing he enjoyed talking with others that were fishing or walking along the river. Plug will be remembered as a snappy dresser and loved fashionable shoes.

Plug is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kristine Taylor and their two children: Nekeisha McAdoo (Robert) and Nekyle Taylor. Raymond is survived by his previous wife, Cindy Dorsey and their two children: Tina R. Taylor and Raymond Taylor Jr.; 14 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters: Gwendolyn Gilbert of Maryland, Henrietta Adams of Pittsburgh, PA, Rita Johnson of Connecticut, a brother Kevin Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Taylor and Raymond Woods, his brothers: Robert Taylor, Thomas Gravely, his sisters Elizabeth Stokes and Deborah Jeffcoat.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Friends will be received by the family from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
