James R. Lee, 82, of Celoron, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
He was born on July 20, 1944 in Jamestown, a son of the late Charles A. and Norma Durlin Lee.
James was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1965 to 1968.
He owned and operated Lee Oil Co. in Frewsburg for many years.
He enjoyed anything outdoors including hunting, fishing and going to the casino. His kids and grandchildren were very special to him.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Morian; a son James A. Lee; a granddaughter Elizabeth Hicks (Lewis); and several step-daughters, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and several brothers.
No service or visitation will be observed. A memorial will be done privately for family and friends at a later date.
