Gerald C. “Gerry” Carlson, 73, of Sinclairville passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026 in UPMC Chautauqua.
He was born August 7, 1953 in Jamestown, the son of the late Stanley and Gloria VanOrder Carlson.
Gerry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement he was employed by the City of Tucson, AZ as a Diesel Mechanic.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, working on vehicles, WWII military history, and cooking.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Ann Flanders Carlson whom he married September 25, 2012 in Tucson, AZ; five children: Tracey (Jeff) Stewart of Baltimore, MD, Gary (Jane) Carlson of Louisiana, Mark (Charlotte) Carlson of Georgia, Martin (Ashley) Carlson of Kiantone, David (Shani) Carlson of Charleston, SC; 12 grandchildren: Kevin Carlson, Kyle Carlson, Taylor Carlson, Abigail Carlson, Nadia Carlson, Aidan Carlson, Zoe Carlson, Melanie Carlson, Levi Carlson, Ivan Purdin, Liam Stewart, and Callum Stewart. His memory will be treasured by his wife, children, grandchildren and the entire Carlson family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife: Susan J. Carlson; his third wife, Kandyce Carlson; a brother, Stanley Carlson Jr. and a sister, Joan Carlson.
A Celebration for Gerry will be held at a later date.
