Carl D. Armeli, 72, of Adams Street, Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at his residence with his wife Becky by his side.
Carl was born on September 8, 1954 in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Nunizo Armeli and Marilyn Benbenek.
Carl was raised and educated in Jamestown, N.Y. He worked many years at the YMCA in Jamestown as head of housekeeping.
Carl was a sports fan and collected sports memorabilia; he loved playing softball and golfing. He played softball into his thirties and enjoyed golfing with his wife and sons throughout the years. He was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan and Green Bay Packers football fan. He also rooted for the Buffalo Bills. He enjoyed spending time with his family at Lucille Ball Park; cooking out, watching the kids play at the park and enjoying family time. Carl spent a lot of time with Becky relaxing on their front porch. They liked playing cards and board games together.
Carl is survived by his wife Rebecca (Aiken) Armeli whom he married on October 22, 1983; two sons: Cole (Samantha) Armeli of Chandler, AZ and Brandon Armeli of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters: Melanie (Damian) Griffis and Theresa (Jim) Gendron all of Buffalo, N.Y., and a brother: John Benbenek of Buffalo, N.Y.
In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by a brother: Ray Armeli.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
