Beverly Carol Arvidson passed away on September 1, 2026. She was 67 years old.
She was born January 2, 1959, to Burl and Ruth (Davis) Blackburn in South Williamson, Kentucky.
Beverly moved to Jamestown, NY in 1972 with her family from Sharon, PA.
Beverly married Tore V. Arvidson on August 25, 1979. Together they shared 47 years of marriage and built a life filled with family, love, and countless memories.
Beverly was a 1976 graduate of Jamestown High School. She spent her professional career caring for others as both a Licensed Practical Nurse and then a Registered Nurse.
Throughout her career, she worked at Lutheran Social Services, Heritage Park, Manor Oak, and The Resource Center. In the later years of her nursing career, Beverly served as a Director of Nursing, where her experience, compassion, and dedication to caring for others allowed her to lead and support those around her.
In November 2014, Beverly retired from nursing to take on what may have been her favorite job of all--being a full-time "Nonnie." Her eight grandchildren were the center of her world, and she poured herself into their lives. Few things brought her more happiness than being with them, supporting them, spoiling them, and watching them grow.
When she wasn't spending time with her family, Beverly could often be found working on one of her many crafts, cheering on her beloved Buffalo Bills, or enjoying a game of Bingo with her friends.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Tore V. Arvidson; her three daughters, Kristy (Jason) Winchester, Katie (Russ) Conti, and Shelby (Phil) Kies; and her eight beloved grandchildren, Svea, Luke, and Andrew Winchester, Charlee, Kendall, and Natalie Conti, and Carter and Connor Kies. She is also survived by her parents, Burl and Ruth (Davis) Blackburn of Hurricane, West Virginia; her sisters, Liz (Mike) Withrow of Hurricane, West Virginia, and Marsha (Aaron) Hensely of Lexington, Kentucky; her sister-in-law, Tammy (Richard) Samuelson of Jamestown; Michael Euscher, who Beverly loved like a son; as well as extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Helge Arvidson, and her mother-in-law, Norma Arvidson.
Above everything else, Beverly will be remembered for the love she had for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, nurse, crafter, Bills fan, and friend--but to eight very lucky grandchildren, she was simply Nonnie, a title she wore with tremendous pride.
Her family will forever carry with them the love, memories, traditions, and countless moments she gave them throughout her life.
Beverly's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Inpatient Cardiology team at UPMC Hamot for the exceptional care they provided to her. Their knowledge, expertise, compassion, and unwavering dedication gave Beverly something truly invaluable--more time with the family she loved so dearly.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lind Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 5, at 1:00 p.m. at Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
