Annelie W. Rose, age 92, of Jamestown, NY, passed away at her home Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Annelie was born in Zinten, Germany on May 11, 1934. She later moved to the US and became a naturalized citizen. She loved her adopted country and the life she lived in America.
In her later life she devoted much of her time in her beloved garden and in feeding the birds and all creatures great and small. Her deck was filled with wildlife including a racoon who loved bananas, fondly known as banana racoon. The wildlife and her family and friends will greatly miss her caring soul and kind nature.
Annelie Rose was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Phillip M. Rose Jr. whom she married February 27, 1976, in Jamestown.
She is survived by a son, Greg Snow of Forestville, NY, a daughter, Patty Snow of Davis, West Virginia, stepson Philip M. Rose III of Jamestown; four step daughters, Rhonda Brown of Falconer, Nina Rose of Jamestown, Laurie Posadny of Rochester, and Pauline Colbey of Utica.
A private celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
