Michael B. Hicks, 84, formerly of Jamestown, died Saturday August 1, 2026, in Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born August 4, 1941, in Bradford, PA, a son of the late Charles and Georgianna Worden Hicks.
Following graduation from Bradford High School in 1959 he enlisted in the United State Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1963.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by WCA Hospital as an architect. He loved his work and found great satisfaction with every project.
For several years he was a member of local bands playing the drums.
Surviving is his wife of 62 years Diane Kohler Hicks, whom he married June 12, 1964; four daughters, Kim (James) Wormsbacher, Lori (Barry) Johnson and Lisa (Gary) Hicks-Howard all of Georgia and Tara Hicks of Fredonia; five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Charles, Roy, Merle and Ernest Hicks and Anna Maria Henderson.
A private service was held for the family.
