Kenneth L. "Ken" Olson, 65, of Frewsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 20, 1961 in Jamestown, a son of the late Roy E. and Barbara L. Wiltsie Olson.
He attended Frewsburg Central School.
Ken was a member of Trinity Church, Frewsburg, the American Legion Riders, and Patriot Guard Riders. He was a longtime member of Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion and the Carroll Rod & Gun Club.
Ken was employed at Ethan Allen for 23 years achieving the supervisor position. After its closing, he was employed at Truck-Lite Co. for 10 years as an inventory control supervisor and also worked at several other manufacturing facilities in the local area.
Ken was an avid Buffalo Bills and NASCAR fan. He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed camping, bowling, socializing with friends, and attended many rock and country concerts. He was loved and respected by many.
Ken is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wendy L. Johnson Olson; two daughters, Cassandra and Lynnsey Olson; five grandchildren: Chloe Komenda, Chistian and Carson Short, Vivyana Olson, Marley Krueger; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Latte.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Linda L. Frantz; his brother Robert E. Olson; his father-in-law Harold Johnson; his mother-in-law Vivian Johnson; and father-in-law Marvin Work.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, August 14, 2026 in Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Pastor PJ Pasieka will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
Friends will be received from 5-7 pm on Thursday and for one hour prior (11am-12pm) to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, Frewsburg Fire Dept, or a charity of one's choice.
