Karen S. Bigney, 75, of Greenhurst, died Tuesday August 18, 2026, in her home.
Born August 21, 1950, in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Glade and Joan Shannon Bigney.
She was employed by Cummins Jamestown Engine Plant as Quality Systems Specialist Senior/Quality Engineer from 1977 until her retirement in 2016.
Karen was a mother to all, including people and animals. She will be remembered as selfless and caring deeply for everyone.
She enjoyed Tai Chi, but more than anything felt renewal from the time she spent at the Ladies Bible Study at Conduit Ministries.
Surviving is a son, Michael (Sarah) Bigney of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Tammy Bigney of Greenhurst, NY, whom she helped raise; grandchildren, Nicholas Bigney of Jacksonville, Taylor Sablan of Surprise, AZ and Conor (Megan) Estrada of Anderson, IN; great grandchildren, Evelyn, Calliope, Maeve and Ronan and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ray Bigney, Patricia Jacobs and Thomas Bigney.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday in Conduit Ministries, where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the church.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.
