Joe George left this earth from his Frewsburg home on Saturday, August 1st, in the company of family members, after a long battle with cancer. He was born March 19, 1963, to his parents Robert and Tomasina “Massey” George, the youngest of five children.
Joe was a graduate of Jamestown High School in 1981. Following high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he did his duties in the Seabees, serving as a carpenter and builder. He continued those skills as a civilian, following the end of his tour of duty, in his spare time. Joe was employed for many years as a Facility Manager at Vantage Healthcare in Meadville, where he retired in 2019.
Joe is survived by two sons, Joseph T. George and James R. George; four siblings, Marie (Jerry) Alonge, Diane George, John George, and Laurie (Bruce) Wallgren; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tomasina and Robert George.
No visitation will be observed. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
