John W. Nash, 86, of Frewsburg, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA with his family by his side.
He was born on June 19, 1940 in Falconer, a son of the late William H. and Ruth L. Ashley Nash.
John retired from C&R Construction after many years. Prior to that John owned and operated his own construction company, where he built many homes including a road that bears his name "Nash Avenue" in Frewsburg.
John was a kind and considerate man who was well liked by everyone.
He loved working and being out doors even making his own maple syrup for many years with his sons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and attending the Nash family reunions for many years.
John will be deeply missed by his wife, Charlene V. "Char" Nelson Nash, whom he married on January 14, 1962; by his two sons, Jeff Nash and wife, Sandy, John K. Nash and wife, Mary; his grandchildren, Andy, Jennifer, and Josh; his sister, Mary Graves of Rochester, NY; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Irene Nash.
In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Frewsburg Fire Department.
