Jeremy A. Hasson

1986-2026

Jeremy A. Hasson, 39, of Busti, passed away surrounded by his loving family at home on Monday, August 10, 2026.

He was born in Jamestown on November 20, 1986, to Alan and Kim Wilson Hasson.

A 2006 graduate of Southwestern Central Schools where he played football and ran track,

Jeremy attended Baran Institute of Technology where he achieved his Automotive Service Technology degree.

Jeremy could fix anything with a motor, and he would drop everything to help a friend if they were in trouble. He troubleshooted complicated challenges with ease, from cars to tractors to boats.

Thinking outside of the box paralleled with his keen skills made him valuable to family, friends, and places of work including Shults Chevy and Six Flags.

Alongside his love for auto repair and maintenance came Jeremy's love for NASCAR; he treasured going to races and spending time with his friends. Jeremy valued the outdoors, skeet shooting at the Big Tree Sportsmen's Club, as well as hunting and fishing locally. Remarkably, and with the help of his brother, Jeremy prevailed in getting a deer last season following his brain tumor diagnosis.

The first one to help when someone was in need and without hesitation, Jeremy devoted his very being to community service and the people within it.

Most recently being employed with the Town of Busti Highway Department, Jeremy was a life member of the Busti Fire Department, serving as a director and as past assistant chief. He was also a member of the Busti Men's Association.

Jeremy's passions were invariably superseded by his devotion to his family. He loved them more than anything in the world. His compassion will live on through his wife, Bethany, whom he married June 16, 2012; his children, Alec, Isabella, and Hudson; his siblings, Daniel (Amber) Hasson and Ashley (Ken) Rowe; his nephews, Julian Hasson, Bryce Rowe, and Brendon Rowe; his maternal grandparents, Gene and Joyce Wilson; his mother- and father-in-law, Steve and Amy Calarco; his siblings-in-law, Katy Calarco and Mike Calarco; his best friend, Matt Stafford; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Nellie Hasson.

The funeral service for Jeremy will be at 1pm Friday, August 14, 2026, at Busti Church of God. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1-3pm and 5-7pm Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Lind Funeral Home.

Donations in Jeremy's memory may be made to the Busti Fire Department, 886 Mill Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
