Denise A. (Johnson) Waid, 78, of Randolph, (Town of Napoli) passed away Monday, August 10, 2026 at home with her family at her side after an extended illness.
She was born August 5, 1948 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Dean Arthur Johnson and Eileen Winifred Emm.
Denise was a 1966 graduate of Randolph Central School and was a longtime employee of many local company's such as: Jamestown Veneer and Plywood, ALB Rubber Company, Lake County Dairy Corporate Office, Trahan Petroleum, Essex Tool, 2001 Night Club, Bush Industries in Little Valley and Conewango Products in Randolph, where she held a variety of positions, including; manufacturing Quality Control, Office Personnel and book keeping.
She is survived by her life partner; William John, children; Troy Morton, Todd Morton and Tami Morton, grandchildren; Brian, Emily, Kyle, Alysse, Tommy, Benjamin, Donald, Payton and Vinny, as well her siblings, Brian, Debra, Mike and Chris.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Eileen, an infant son; Tommy Morton and a brother, Kevin Johnson.
Denise's passions were; family first, working on home improvements and achieving owning her own home, enjoying all birds and wildlife while spending time on her back deck with Bill and tending to their many flowers and plants. She also was proud of her work on the family tree on Ancestory.com.
As per Denise's wishes, visitation and funeral services will not be observed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, Randolph, NY.
