Dan Lavern Kelly of Avon Park Florida (formerly of Ashville) passed away on August 1, 2026 at home after a more than 20 year battle with Myasthenia Gravis with most of his family by his side.
Born April 19, 1940 to Vern A. and Bessie Todd Kelly in Jamestown, NY he lived most of his life in the Jamestown area. Dan was very active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church both in Jamestown and Florida. He was a US Army Veteran and owner of Chautauqua Claim Service in Jamestown until his retirement.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Kathy Vincent Kelly, son, Lance (Laurie) Kelly of Lynchburg VA, daughter, Laura (George) Griffin of Lake Wales FL, seven Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
