Bruce R. Main, 71, of Jamestown passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026 after a brief illness.
A lifelong area resident he was born July 16, 1955 in Jamestown, the son of the late Norman Main and Geraldine Larry Main Larkin.
Bruce was a graduate of Empire State College with a bachelor's degree in Human Services. Prior to retirement Bruce was em ployed by The Resource Center for 35 years.
Bruce was a member of the former Immanuel Lutheran Church and currently attended First Lutheran Church. He was an avid runner, and was a member of the Chautauqua Striders.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and gardening. Bruce received numerous awards for volunteering for several community organizations.
Surviving is his wife, Rhonda K. Holt Main, whom he married August 22, 1978; a son, Ryan (Jessica) Main, and daughter, Alicia Main all of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Cole, Aubrey, Bridget and Weston Main; a great grandchild, Kay'mani Brown; and a brother, Timothy Main of
Blasdell, NY.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Main on April 13, 2001 and a brother, Larry Main.
As per Bruce's wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
