Sharon D Garrison, 88, of Jamestown, passed peacefully at Heritage Green Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center on July 14th, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Jamestown, she was born on October 24th, 1937, daughter of the late Birger “Bert” Lofgren and Lillian Carlson Lofgren Larson.
She was a 1955 graduate of Jamestown High School and proudly served as a planner on her reunion committee. Sharon also attended Jamestown Community College.

Sharon was a lifetime member of the Vikings Injgald Lodge IOV 65. She was extremely proud of her Swedish heritage. She also belonged to the Norden Women’s Club and the Lakewood Rod and Gun.
She enjoyed playing Mahjong and golfing with her friends. Sharon was also a 2014 graduate of the Chautauqua Institution Literary and Scientific Circle.
Sharon raised thousands of dollars for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation over the course of 32 years. In 2022 she was bestowed the CF National Women’s award and in 2023 she was presented the Grampion Award for her dedication, time, advocacy and fundraising efforts in the fight for a cure for CF.
Sharon had the opportunity to travel to Sweden to meet her relatives in 1963. Following that she lived in Germany for two years. She also traveled across the United States with her family and friends. Traveling was her guilty pleasure.
She is survived by her two children, Katherine (Joseph) Goodrow of Springville, New York and David (Carole) Garrison of Jamestown; grandchildren Ashley (Nick) Schuster of Buffalo, Eric Goodrow of Colden, NY and Ella Garrison of Jamestown and great-grandchildren, Leo and Reagan Schuster both of Buffalo. While Sharon was immensely proud of her son and daughter her heart found its greatest joy in being “Nana” and “Great Nani” to her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She also was extremely blessed to have a wonderful group of friends who all provided endless love, support and care until the very end.
