Patricia P. Hopkins

Patricia P. Hopkins, 86, of Lakewood, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday July 14, 2026, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

A native of Chandlers Valley, PA, she was born July 19, 1940, a daughter of the late M. Monroe and Alice Marie Peterson Passinger.

A lifelong learner and educator, she was a graduate of Eisenhower High School, Jamestown Community College, SUNY Fredonia and earned a master’s degree in special education from Edinboro University.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg, Lake Wales Lutheran Church and former member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Prior to her retirement in 2003, she was employed by The Resource Center as principal for the Early Learning Program for Chautauqua County.

A member of the North Harmony Quilters and Lake Wales Lutheran Church Quilters where she made hundreds of quilts which were gifted through Lutheran Relief.

Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Paul Hopkins, whom she married July 25, 1961; three children, Richard (Susan) Hopkins of Jamestown, Steven (Tammy) Hopkins of Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands and Marcy (Dennis) Palermo of Jamestown; grandchildren, Monica (Joseph) Kepler, Max Kiesinger, Sara Fountain, Emily (Ricky) Ortiz, Isabella Palermo, Joseph Palermo, Nickolas (Aimee) DaCosta and Nathaniel (Evelyn) DaCosta; 10 great grandchildren, and a brother, Ronald (Flora) Passinger of Lander, PA.

Friends will be received from 4-6 pm Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. No formal funeral service will be observed.
