Michael R. “Mike” and Debralene E. “Debbi” Baker Carlson

He was born on February 8, 1961 in Jamestown, a son of the late Richard P. and Maribelle Patterson Carlson.

Mike was a 1980 graduate of Frewsburg Central School.

Prior to retiring, he was employed at Vac-Air Alloys (Keywell) for many years.

Mike was an avid NASCAR fan and bowler, earning many awards for high scoring games and was a member of the United States Bowling Association. He enjoyed working on cars and, along with his wife, Debbi, loved hosting 4th of July parties.

He is survived by his son Jeremy Baker; two grandsons: Kole and Logan Baker; four siblings: Mary (Dennis) Brink, Patty Mead, Vicky Williams, Richard M. (Sue) Carlson; his daughter-in-law Lisa Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Debralene E. “Debbi” Baker Carlson, whom passed away on July 3, 2026; and two brothers-in-law Fred Williams and Sam Zembardo.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 10, 2026 in Peterson Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

Friends will be received from 4-7 pm on Thursday in the funeral home.

Debralene E. “Debbi” Baker Carlson, 64, of Frewsburg, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 at home.

She was born on December 5, 1961 in Salamanca, NY, a daughter of the late Almond L. Baker, Sr. and Shirley A. Mack Baker.

Debbi was a 1979 graduate of Falconer Central School.

She was a dedicated homemaker and in earlier years had worked at Abers Acres and the former Sally’s Deli in Frewsburg.

Debbi enjoyed ceramics, crafts, painting, the outdoors, and gardening, and along with her husband Mike, she loved hosting 4th of July parties. She will be remembered for her sense of humor.

Debbi’s husband of 42 years Michael R. “Mike” Carlson, whom she married May 12, 1984, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026.

She is survived by a son Jeremy Baker; two grandsons Kole and Logan Baker; a brother Almond (Lori) Baker, Jr.; three sisters: Terraline M. McKay, Crystalene A. Baker, Kimberlene M. (Rex) McKay; many nieces and nephews; her daughter-in-law Lisa Johnson; and her two Siamese cats “Her Boyz”.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law Radley McKay in 2024.

In keeping with Debbi’s wishes a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg is handling arrangements.
