Mary Beth Carlson

A native of Jamestown, she was born October 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Robert and Libby Sheffield Carlson.

A 1964 graduate of Jamestown High School, she went on to become a licensed practical nurse through Jamestown Community College.

For over 30 years she was employed by WCA Hospital as an LPN in the maternity ward.

She was an active communicant of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

With a giving heart she supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Chautauqua County Humane Society.

Surviving are five cousins Bruce Carlson of Jamestown, James Wahlberg of Bemus Point, Diane Wahlberg of Connecticut, Yvonne Cooper of Florida and Jack Wahlberg of Massachusetts, and her beloved Sheltie, Kaylee.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an aunt, Ruth Sheffield.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday July 15, 2026, in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 9:30 am to 10 am in the church just prior to the start of the mass.

Burial will be in holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
