John Timothy “Tim” Pearson

John Timothy "Tim" Pearson, 83, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Friday, July 25, 2026 at his residence.

Tim was born on February 7, 1943, and the son of the late Carl Pearson and Jeane Gallagher.

Tim graduated from Jamestown High School. He owned and operated Pearson's Menswear. Tim was a car salesman at Ed Shults Auto Group and Landmark Chevrolet. He was currently working for CARTS and Long Point State Park.

Tim was a former member of a Lutheran Church in Jamestown. He was a member of Norden Club, Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, War Veterans Recreation, The Vikings Lodge IOV 65, American Legion Post#149 Ira Lou Spring, American Legion Post# 181 in Randolph, N.Y. and Elks Lodge BPOE #263.

Tim valued the bond he shared with his sons and the memories they created. He was very proud of his granddaughters Hannah and MacKenzie and the women they've become brought him great joy. Tim enjoyed spending time with family and friends, including holidays, celebrations, and gatherings where many special memories were made. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet nature, and the impact he had on those who knew him.

Tim is survived by two sons: J. Timothy Pearson, Jr. (Marijo) of Rochester, N.Y. and Andrew C. Pearson of Pittsburgh, PA; two granddaughters: Hannah Elizabeth Pearson and MacKenzie Nicole Pearson both of Rochester, N.Y., and a dear friend: Judy Turner of Randolph, N.Y. He will be missed by Phillips and Philbin families and many friends and coworkers.

In addition to his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his wife: Linda Nordine Pearson whom he married on October 12, 1968 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Clyde J. Christmas officiated the marriage and this was his first marriage after he was ordained.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, N.Y. 14701.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, July 31st from 4-6 PM at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 E. 5th St.t, Jamestown, NY.
