Bonnie Ellen Murray

1944-2026

With profound sorrow, we announce that Bonnie Ellen Murray, age 82, passed away on July 12, 2026, in her childhood home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born June 26, 1944, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Harold and Elvina Cameron Moller.

Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School. She attended SUNY Fredonia, Jamestown Business College and received an Associate degree in Business Administration.

Bonnie was previously employed by Fastener House, Key Bank, Craft World, and The State of New York Unified Court System & Jamestown City Court; retiring in 2010.

She is survived by her two sons, Kevin (Krisi) and Shawn (JoAnn) and her beloved grandson, Seth. She is also survived by her brothers, Terry and Wayne Moller, and her devoted cousin, Karen Peterson.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her brother, Richard, in 2025, and by Shawn and Kevin’s father, Ronald G. Murray, in 2015. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Bonnie will be remembered for her many creative talents and hobbies. She was an avid doll collector, but machine embroidery was her passion. Many people in the area were delighted recipients of her amazingly beautiful creations. She was very proud of her Swedish heritage and was a long-time member of the Vikings.

Among the favorite memories she leaves behind are annual family trips to Myrtle Beach, Elvis tribute concerts, fun-filled road trips with Karen, shopping excursions, and lunches with family and friends.

She loved preparing spectacular traditional Swedish smorgasbord dinners for her family to enjoy each Christmas Eve.

While Bonnie was immensely proud of her two sons, her heart found its greatest joy in being “Meme” to Seth, with whom she shared a uniquely special and cherished bond. Bonnie was especially blessed to have her daughters-in-law, JoAnn and Krisi, as well as her cousin, Karen, who all provided endless love, support and care until the very end.

We find comfort in knowing that her deep and abiding faith will guide her on the next chapter of her journey. Her extraordinary courage, unwavering strength, and enduring love are gifts she leaves behind — treasures that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A gathering to honor Bonnie’s life will be held at Lind Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Visitation will be from 12-1:30pm with a prayer service to follow from 1:30-2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
