Bernard D. “Bernie” Jones

He was born on July 20, 1950, in Jamestown, NY, son of the late Gerald and Ruth (Smith) Jones.

He was a lifelong resident of Jamestown, NY, graduated from Jamestown High School class of 1969, where he excelled in both football and wrestling.

For many years he owned and operated Jones Hauling.

Bernie was a family man and dedicated his life to always being there for them. He was one of the hardest working and generous individuals in this world and he shared that generosity with everyone he met throughout his life. He was such a selfless, caring, and helpful individual.

Surviving is his lifelong partner and soulmate, Dianna Davis; children, Chase D. Jones, Amanda Trout, and Johnna (Benjamin Wilson) Trout all of Jamestown; and siblings, Charles “Mike” (Leigh) Jones of Jamestown, and Frederick (Mary) Jones of California.

Following Bernie’s wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be observed. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
