Thomas Charles Morton

1944-2026

Thomas Charles Morton, 81, of Jamestown passed away Thursday, (May 28, 2026) in UPMC Chautauqua Hospital.

He was born July 18, 1944 in Jamestown, NY the son of the late Lavern and Tersa Ostrander Morton.

Thomas was a graduate of Jamestown High School, and enlisted in The US Navy from 1960-1964.

After his time in the service in the Navy, he was employed with MIT in Boston working with computers in the late 1960’s.

Thomas retired from M&M Smoke shop in Steamburg and was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Miami Dolphins, and had a love for his cats.

He is survived by his son Christopher Morton of Falconer; his former wife Renee (James A.) Abbott of Falconer; also, many nieces and nephews and greats, some of whom are extra special.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, William and Ronald Morton.

His funeral service will be Wednesday (June 3, 2026) at 12:00 pm in the Falconer Funeral Home.

Friends will be received by the family from 11:00 am to noon in the funeral home. Rev. Leroy Walker will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Steamburg Cemetery.
