Rose Carmen DeSano Piazza, formerly of Falconer, NY and Pinellas Park, FL passed peacefully to our Lord in Heaven on June 8, 2026 while residing at Heritage Green Skilled Nursing Home.
She was born July 26, 1934 to the late Salvatore and Frances Siracusa DeSano in Queens, NY. Rose graduated from Jamaica Vocational High School as a Cosmetologist.
Rose was formally employed by Goldstar and Quality Markets, Falconer Central School, and retired from Falconer Plate Glass.
She met the love of her life, the late James Piazza, while he was stationed at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in NJ. They were wed on April 5, 1952.
She is survived by Children: Manfred (Debra) of Conroe, TX; Stephen (Pam) of Celeron, NY; Francine of Jamestown, NY and Antoinette (James) Taylor of Streetsboro, OH. Her Grandchildren: Heather (James) Wall, Jennifer (Chris) Kramer, and Manfred (Destiny) Piazza of TX; Stephen Piazza and Shavonne (Brad Vilella) Piazza of NY; Great grand-children: Stormie (Caleb) Norsworthy, Daniel (Deavyn) McCoy, James Wall, Callista Kramer, Kymberlyn (Bryan) Pudifin , Grayson Piazza, Saige (Josh Miller) Piazza, Noah Milk, Louis Piazza and Mark Mealy. In addition Rose has five Great Great Grandchildren, Cheston, Ryker, Damon and Kaylee Norsworthy and Dylilah McCoy. Rose is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lee DeSano, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Twin sister, Marie (Joseph) Gagliardo, brother, Anthony DeSano and sister, Dee (Bill) Newark; sisters-in-law: Beatrice (Leo) Mason , Grace Piazza, Laura (Anthony) Conti, Teresa (Sam) Bova and Rosalie (John) Piszek. She was also predeceased by her niece, Rosemarie (Dolly) Cline and nephews, Thomas Woodruff, Charles Bova.
Rose was an avid reader and enjoyed bicycling when she lived in FL.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 6-8 PM at Falconer Funeral Home, Falconer, NY. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 12, 2026 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bemus Point, NY. A private burial will be held at a later date.
The family would also like to thank Heritage Green for the many years of care they provided and Chautauqua Hospice for their guidance at the end.
