Rory M. Holmberg

A lifelong area resident, he was born March 29, 1954 in Jamestown, the son of the late Arnold C. and Beryl R. Huckelbery Holmberg.

Rory was a 1972 graduate of Falconer High School and prior to retirement was employed by Agway/Cargill Inc. for 43 years, retiring in 2017.

He was a member of the Vikings Lodge and War Vets Recreation. Rory enjoyed spending time with his family. He also loved golf, bowling, softball, and scratching lottery tickets to get rich someday.

Surviving is his wife Dina R. Carpenter Holmberg whom he married October 6, 1990; a son Stephen (Laura) Holmberg of Falconer; a daughter Jennie (Dave) Feliciano of Clemson, SC; a stepson Jamie (Sandy) Reynolds of Jamestown; a stepdaughter Jodee (Dennis) Hallett of Greensboro, NC; twelve grandchildren; Gregory, Emma, Haley, Joshua and Alec Holmberg; Ezra and Maya Feliciano; Evan and Alex Reynolds; Kortny, Conner, and Payton Hallett; two brothers: Scott (Kimann) Holmberg, Steve (Lisa) Holmberg all of Kennedy; two sisters: Christine Oste of Jamestown, and Valerie (Joseph) Stuber of Ohio.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his stepmother Maxine Holmberg and a brother-in-law Wayne Oste.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday July 2nd from 4-7 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Phetteplace St, Falconer. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be donated to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
