Richard L. Morrell

Born in Jamestown, he was a son of the late Robert and Nancy Savage Morrell. He was employed by Cummins Engine, where he worked dedicatedly until his retirement.

Rich was a Karate instructor at the YMCA for many years. He also enjoyed hunting and was a true car enthusiast. Rich was also known as, “Rich the car guy.” His family will always remember him for being the deeply loving father and grandfather that he was.

Surviving are his three children: Richard (Rebecca) Morrell of San Antonio, TX, Lisa Morrell of Buford, GA, and Steven (Glenda) Morrell of Corpus Christi, TX; former wife, Marybeth Morrell; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Steve) Nelson and Carol (Harold) Jones; and two brothers, Robert and Randy Morrell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Cook.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the Lind Funeral Home. A private burial will take place in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
