Ralph W. Parsons, 91, of 200 S. Price Avenue, died Wednesday June 3, 2026, in UPMC Chautauqua.

A lifelong area resident, he was born February 15, 1935, in Jamestown, a son of the late William and Emily Louise Lyons Parsons.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1954-57.

He was employed by AMSCO from 1962 until 1982. He later worked at Corry manufacturing for 9 years and then worked at Walmart for 8 years, retiring in 2005.

He was a member of Herman Kent Post American Legion and Lakewood Rod and Gun Club.

Known as “Grandpa” by family and friends alike, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing cards, but the greatest joy in his life came from spending time with his grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Lakewood Fire Department, and the following units of UPMC Chautauqua: ICU, 4D and the staff of Davita for the wonderful care they provided Ralph.

Surviving is his daughter, Laura Jo (Dale)Truver of Lakewood; two grandchildren, Kimberly Truver and Joshua Truver, both of Lakewood and two step grandchildren, Terri Lee Chandler and Beth Ann Chandler both of North East, PA.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Kennedy Parsons, whom he married July 22, 1965, and who died February 13, 2006; two stepsons, David “Butch” Chandler and Douglas “Peanut” Chandler; two sisters, Shirley Smith and Emily Kennelly and a brother, George Parsons.

The funeral will be held at 11 am Monday in the Lind Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4-6 Sunday and for one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home.
