Jon W. Morgan

1939-2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jon W. Morgan, beloved brother, good friend and scholar.

Jon was born February 21, 1939 in Jamestown, N.Y. He died June 5, 2026 at Heritage Park, Jamestown, NY after a brief illness.

Jon graduated from Jamestown High School in 1957. He earned his B.A. from SUNY Albany in 1961 and his Masters Degree from SUNY Fredonia.

His teaching career started at Panama Central School, NY, but his love of teaching English spanned almost 40 years at Clymer Central School until he retired in 2001. Jon was involved and passionate about school productions, directing and motivating many students over the years. He loved attending local as well as professional productions .

Known for his quick wit, generosity and ability to include all in his conversation and his life, he will be missed by many, including family, friends and former students.

Jon is survived by his loving brother, James H. Morgan, who served as his caretaker for several years. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Herbert J. Morgan and Mary Beatrice Morgan.

Arrangements are through Falconer Funeral Home, Falconer, N.Y. There will be no visitation but a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
