James B. Parnell Sr.
James B. Parnell Sr., 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. He was born on December 14, 1956, in Westfield, NY, the son of the late Julius and Mary Jane Gibbs Parnell.
Jim had attended Sherman Central School. He was self-employed and the owner of 2J’s Trucking.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Carey Anne Parnell, whom he had been with for 34 years.
He is survived by his six children, Chasity Denning, Christina Parks(Jeffrey), James Parnell Jr., Christopher Parnell(Vanessa), Samual Parnell, Sandra Parnell(Samuel). As well as his 11 Grandchildren.
At Jim’s request, there will be no public services observed. A celebration of life will be held at a future date and will be announced. A private graveside service will be held by the family at the Locust Shade Farm Family Cemetery.
