In Loving Memory of Charlotte A. Butler and Bryan H. Butler

Charlotte A. Butler and Bryan H. Butler, devoted partners, beloved parents, and pillars of their family, are remembered most for the life they built together–one rooted in love, strength, and unwavering dedication to those closest to them.

With deep ties to Lakewood, New York, and Fort Myers, Florida, Charlotte and Bryan created homes filled with warmth, laughter, and a sense of belonging that extended far beyond their immediate family. Wherever they lived, they brought people together–family, friends, and community alike–through their generosity, kindness, and genuine care for others.

Above all, Charlotte and Bryan were extraordinary parents. As the loving parents of their only child, Ben, they instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. They led not only through words, but through example–showing what it meant to stand by family, to persevere through challenges, and to celebrate life’s simple joys. Their guidance and love shaped his life in lasting and profound ways.

Charlotte’s nurturing spirit and steady presence provided comfort and strength. She worked at Cummins Engine in Lakewood, New York, where she was respected for her dedication and strong work ethic. Bryan’s determination, entrepreneurial spirit, and quiet pride created a foundation of stability and encouragement. He owned or managed several successful businesses over the years, earning the respect of those who knew and worked with him.

Together, they were a team–complementing one another and creating a partnership that served as a model for all who knew them.

They are lovingly remembered by their son, Ben Butler, and his wife, Rachel, of Chester County, Pennsylvania; and their cherished grandchildren: Anna, a registered nurse; Madison, a student at Hamilton College; and Jack, a freshman in high school and dedicated lacrosse player, who lives at home with his parents.

They also leave behind scores of friends and family, including many dear cousins, all of whom they loved to host and spend time with over the years. In retirement, Charlotte and Bryan especially enjoyed traveling, time at their home in Southwest Florida, and treasured beach days spent with their grandchildren.

Charlotte and Bryan’s legacy lives on in the values they passed down, the memories they created, and the enduring love that continues to bind their family together. They will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always honored as loving parents whose greatest achievement was their family.

Visiting hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2026, in the Lind Funeral Home.
