Charles A. Lee

1951-2026

Charles A. Lee, 74, of Frewsburg, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 in Brooks Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 25, 1951 in Jamestown, NY to the late Charles and Norma (Durlin) Lee. He attended Frewsburg Central School and JCC. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Following his military service, Charles was employed at Crescent Tool and Quality Markets Warehouse. He retired from Jamestown Board of Public Utilities, where he worked for 27 years.

Charles was a member of Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion and was a life member of the Carroll Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, reading the newspaper, and spending time at the cabin he built. He is remembered for his kind and friendly nature.

Charles is survived by his wife, Gail Lee, whom he married on January 31, 1970; two children: Tammy (Jason) Barber of Frewsburg and David (Amy) Lee of Moyock, NC; two grandchildren: Brayden and Madison Lee; seven siblings: James (Mary) Lee, Sandra (Fred) Anderson, Shirley Spontaneo, Dennis (Helen) Lee, June Lee, Richard (Donna) Lee, and Kenneth Lee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Norma Smith, Louise Burger, Marian Amatuzzo, and brother Robert Lee.

A Celebration of Charles’s Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
